Winterizing: The last thing you need is water in the lines that when it freezes, water expands and potentially will crack the Pex pipe in usually the worst possible spot to get at. The system must be blown out, at low pressure, with a special attachment, and the system filled with RV waterline antifreeze (do not use automotive antifreeze!) Or, just give me a call. I can do a standard winterization starting at $300. If your system doesn’t already have one, I can even make and install a bypass on your water heater so the antifreeze doesn’t have to go through the tank first, for an additional cost. A few dollars now could save a pound of cure later.
