How big of a truck do I need? That question normally sparks quite a debate amongst RVers. Unless it’s a reasonably lightweight pull behind that you can manage with a full-size SUV or half ton pick up with load stabilizers, you’re looking at a 3/4 ton and up. Any gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer much over 10K GVW is going to demand at least a 3/4 ton SRW (single rear wheel) and much above that, you’re best bet is a 1 ton dually. And, always make sure your tires are inflated to at least within 5 lb of the maximum recommendation as an under-inflated tire will get hot quick and potentially blow. That’s no way to start a fun trip
